I graduated from Heber Springs High School in May of 1977. That August, I began my freshman year at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) and received my Bachelor of Science in Education in 1981.
I am certified to teach social studies and health from grades 5 - 12 and science in the middle grades.
I am very excited to be in charge of the Midland Elementary STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) lab for the 2018-2019 school year! This is a new venture for Midland as we continue to work closely with Discovery Education to prepare our students for life in our quickly changing world.
I began teaching the 5th and 6th grade science at Midland in the fall of 1994 and taught these classes through May of 2018. Before coming to Midland, I taught for Pulaski County Special School District for 9 years at Jacksonville Junior High North.
My husband and I have three grown children who are all Midland graduates.
We enjoy being part of a small town and living out in the country.
