About Me

Educational History:

  • I am a proud 1989 graduate of Midland High School.  Go Mustangs!
  • I recieved my teaching degree from Arkansas State University in 2003, and obtained my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014 from Arkansas State University.  In 2018 I complete an endorement in Gifted and Talented Education from Harding University.  

Degrees and Certifications:

  • Effective Literacy Certification
  • Science Institue through Harding 3 year program study

Professional Development:

  • Attended ISTE conference in Chicago summer of 2018.

Current Position:

I started teaching at Midland School District in the Fall of 2011.  I have been with our AWESOME school district for 7 amazing years!  I was a Reading Interventionist for 1 year and taught 4th grade for 5 years.  I started as GT Coordinator and Teacher K-12 the 2017-2018 school year.  

Previous Position:

My teaching career began at Pangburn School District.  I taught 6th grade for 5 years and 7th and 8th science for 3 years.

Family Information:

My husband and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in August 2018.  We have been blessed with 4 sons and a daughter that we are very proud of.   We also have a beautiful grand-daughter and a grandbaby on the way.

Personal Information:

I am a huge National Park fan.  Visiting all our National Parks in on my bucketlist.

I love vacationing at the beach with my family.

I love to traveling every chance I get.  Visiting every Major League Baseball park is also on my bucketlist.
