This will be my twenty-first year teaching at Midland School and I continue to feel blessed to be teaching in this wonderful district. I teach fifth and sixth grade Social Studies which in fifth grade is all about how the United States became a country and in sixth grade the major ancient civilizations.
I am fortunate to say I have wonderful wife, two terrific sons, an incredible daughter-in-law, and a beautiul new granddaughter. My wife and I will be celebrating out twenty-fifth wedding anniversary this year which is exciting. My oldest son, Stephen is married to one of my former students and he is currently in college to become a coach while Jessica is the new store manager at Harps in Bald Knob. Their first daughter, Cadence, is an amazing little girl and seems to find her grandpa very amusing. My youngest son is graduating from A.S.U. this year with a degree in theater and will be heading to New York to work in the Spring.
I love teaching and throughougly enjoy spending my days trying to help my students achieve their very best in whatever they attempt. I believe in setting high expectations for my students and believe that the education they receive here at Midland stacks up against any school. I highly encourage daily reading for students and believe parent involvement is key in a child’s education.
When not teaching you will find me working in the yard, reading a good book, or watching the Razorbacks! I enjoy spending summer evenings at a baseball game and hope to go to Fenway Park in Boston some day soon.
